Barbee Family Health Center Small Business Initiative
The George and Eva Nell Barbee Family Health Center, operated by
Phase: Piggy Back, Inc., provides primary and preventative health
care for those living within the Harlem CDC service area. The
Center’s initiative is to survey all small businesses in this area
to determine which ones would like to be provided with low cost
health care for their employees. The first 150 businesses that chose
to participate will be given five primary care visits over a year at
$500.00 for each employee. After one year, a feasibility study will
determine the effectiveness of the program in bringing down health
care costs for local small business. If successful, the initiative
will be expanded to include additional businesses.
